♥ I Finally Found Someone ♥ This entry marks the 100th post on our blog and I want to make this more than just a talk-about-our-daily-lives entry. I have intentions to dedicate this post to Luffs! However, I think my creative cells are so dead that I cannot think of how I can make this more interesting. Anyway, I chanced upon this video on YouTube and am loving the song since then. Great music and style - I told Jane over MSN that I want this to be my wedding song! I have found my someone and am happily in love - Hope everyone find theirs too! ================================================ Every moment spent with you reminds me of how lucky we are to still be in love despite the ups and downs, to still make the effort to meet each other no matter how busy we are, and to still have a million things to tell and share with each other. Thank you for being there for me, my love! I know sometimes, things may get a little dull and not as rosy as desired but I am sure we will be able to get it fixed somehow. I ♥ you, Boy Boy Tan! In all good and bad times… And you know I am so proud to have you as my love. ================================================ I Finally Found Someone By Bryan Adams & Barbra Streisand I finally found someone That knocks me off my feet I finally found the one That makes me feel complete It started over coffee We started out as friends It’s funny how from simple things The best things begin This time is different And it’s all because of you It’s better than it’s ever been ‘Cause we can talk it though My favorite line was “Can I call you sometime?” It’s all you had to say To take my breath away This is it, oh I finally found someone Someone to share my life I finally found the one To be with every night ‘Cause whatever I do It’s just got to be you My life has just begun I finally found someone Did I keep you waiting? I didn’t mind I apologize, baby that’s fine I would wait forever just to know you were mine You know I love your hair. Are you sure it looks right? I love what you wear. Isn’t it too tight? You’re exceptional I can’t wait for the rest of my life This is it, oh I finally found someone Someone to share my life I finally found the one To be with every night ‘Cause whatever I do It’s just got to be you My life has just begun I finally found someone And whatever I do It’s just got to be you My life has just begun I finally found someone Thursday, May 28, 2009 @ 10:25 PM
Dinner @ Nihon Mura As usual, I have cravings for Japanese food again! Haha… So I decided to date Luffs and Ah Pie for dinner at Nihon Mura @ Yio Chu Kang Stadium. Both of them are sashimi fans as well - Goodie! Nihon Mura Yio Chu Kang Stadium 210 Ang Mo Kio Ave 9 #01-212 Singapore 569777 Tel: 6555 3655 Nihon Mura means Japanese village and the name also captures the concept of this Japanese marketplace-style eatery. You use ice cream sticks to place your order as you roam from one section to another, and your meal will be prepared right in front of you at the open-concept kitchen. There is also very affordable conveyor-belt sushi! Luffs and I used to visit their outlet at IRAS very often (because of their 99 cents sushi), but not so frequent now because we are suppose to abstain from rice. Anyway, the 3 of us had a good time chatting and laughing over dinner. Didn’t manage to take many photos though - Too busy eating and talking! Haha... Some of the food we order... Luffs’ typical “wasabi” face! Self torturing right? But he likes the feeling! Wednesday, May 27, 2009 @ 11:20 AM
First Case of H1N1 Singapore Confirms First Case Of H1N1 Posted: 27 May 2009 1033 hrs http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/singaporelocalnews/view/432062/1/.html SINGAPORE: Singapore has confirmed its first case of Influenza A (H1N1). The patient is currently being treated at the Communicable Disease Centre at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) and is in stable condition. The patient is a 22-year-old Singaporean woman who was in New York from May 14-24. She arrived back in Singapore from New York on SQ25 on 26 May at 6.30am. She was seated at Row 55. She began to develop a cough while onboard. She passed the thermal scanner uneventfully as she did not have fever then. Later in the morning, she consulted a GP who decided to send her to TTSH via a 993 ambulance, given her travel history. She was immediately admitted for testing. Laboratory confirmation of her infection was made by midnight of 26 May. The patient has been vigilant in monitoring her own condition and had sought immediate medical attention once she realized that she was unwell. Her attending GP, through his quick response in activating the 993 ambulance for the patient, had also helped to minimize the spread of infection from this case. The Health Ministry says it has initiated contact tracing of her close contacts. They will be quarantined and provided with antiviral prophylaxis. Passengers who had travelled in the same flight and were seated in rows 52 to 58 are urged to call the hotline at 1800-333 9999 to enable the MOH to check on their health condition. The MOH adds that all medical practitioners and healthcare institutions should continue to be vigilant to suspect cases. Singapore will continue with temperature screening for passengers entering Singapore at all checkpoints (land, sea and air). All passengers passing through or entering Singapore are given Health Alert Notices on board their flights, advising them to monitor their own health if they have been to affected areas and to seek medical attention immediately if they are not well. Singaporeans are reminded to maintain high standards of personal hygiene. This means covering your nose and mouth with a tissue when you sneeze or cough, and washing your hand frequently with soap and water, especially after contact with respiratory secretions, for example, after sneezing and coughing. Everyone also needs to be socially responsible. This means staying home and avoiding crowded places (including trains, buses, offices), putting on a surgical mask and seeing a doctor if you have flu symptoms. MOH advises those who travelled to affected areas to closely monitor their health and seek treatment as soon as possible should they develop symptoms. Members of the public are also advised to exercise caution over travel to affected areas. In the event that travel is unavoidable, the public is advised to take precautionary measures such as avoiding crowded areas and maintaining high standards of personal hygiene at all times. However, if you are unwell with fever and cough but have no travel history to affected areas, you are also advised to see a doctor and stay at home. MOH is monitoring the situation closely and will update the public should there be any new developments. For more information on Influenza A (H1N1-2009), you can : Access MOH's website - http://www.moh.gov.sg/ Call MOH's hotline - 1800 333 9999 Visit Singapore's Official Flu Site - http://www.flu.gov.sg/ - CNA/ir ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ With H1N1 now in Singapore, do heed some advice from Mr Brown. Buckaroo BBQ & Grill Luffs has been busy preparing for his M5 exam recently and we decided to spend some time together after his paper. We headed to Buckaroo BBQ & Grill for some buffalo wings feast. Buckaroo BBQ & Grill This time we ordered onion rings too! They were so yummy - The best onion rings I ever had and I ♥ the way the rings were served! The service was fantastic with all their staff being very friendly! Honestly speaking, I feel that the prices are quite high but I will still patronize them for the ambience and good food. Best of all, Buckaroo does not charge GST and service charge. Also, there is “free" parking outside the restaurant since it is situated in the middle of private houses. Atria-Pan Dental I finally went to the dentist today! Luffs finds me weird - I told him visiting Atria-Pan Dental last year was the most enjoyable dental experience I ever had. Atria-Pan Dental 435 Orchard Road #11-01/02/03 Wisma Atria Singapore 238877 Tel: 6733 3133 ★ ★ ★ Dr Chua Chee Haow B.D.S. (Singapore) FRACDS (Australia) Dr Chua graduated from NUS in 1990. During his undergraduate years, he served as vice-chairman of the freshmen orientation committee and dental society, and he was a member of the NUS Students Union Council. His association with Atria-Pan Dental group started in 1988, when he was a 3rd year dental student. He would spend his university holidays honing his clinical knowledge by assisting the dentists. Upon his graduation, he joined the group. Dr Chua obtained his FRACDS (Australia) in 1996. As the current Clinical Director, he manages the operations for the main dental office and its branches. Dr Chua performs general dentistry for both adults and children. He also played a fundamental role in introducing the CEREC (CAD-CAM) system within the clinic. He serves as a volunteer officer to the NCC unit and member of the School Advisory Committee in his alma mater, Gan Eng Seng School, and does volunteer works by providing free dental treatment in countries like Thailand and Cambodia. ★ ★ ★ Now, let me tell you why I 'enjoy' my dental visits : The light above you is too bright? You will be provided with a pair of sunglasses before you lie down. Feeling scared whenever you visit a dentist? The nurse will pass you a soft toy to hug before the dentist starts his work. Don't like to hear the drilling sound? The clinic provides a CD player and a pair of earphones for you to listen to some soothing music. No-one to look after your kids when you go for your dental appointment? Don't worry, they have a playroom right inside for your kids. [This will be useful when I have my own kids next time.] The overall feeling is really good although it can be painful at times (depending on what the dentist needs to do to your teeth). We all should make it a point to visit the dentist every 6 months, so I arranged for my next dental appointment on the spot. Date: 16 November 2009 Time: 5.30pm Tuesday, May 19, 2009 @ 10:10 PM

Angels & Demons Hmm… Is this our 7th movie of the year? Luffs has been waiting for the screening of Angels & Demons after reading the book 4 times. Synopsis Adapted from the novel "Angels and Demons" by Dan Brown, the film follows the story of Robert Langdon, a well-known Harvard symbologist investigating a murder victim, branded with the Illuminati ambigram. Following his investigation, he soon discovers that a cult group is on a trail to murder four cardinals and destroy the St. Peter's Basilica during a papal gathering. http://www.angelsanddemons.com/ I know I sucks, but I actually fell asleep in the theatre. Oh well, Luffs said the show was good although it was abit different from the book. So catch it if you can! @ 12:40 PM
